How we survived…

How we survived…

In the last 10 weeks or so…

…I finished up teaching nine credits of college courses, including grading 25 research papers, 45 take home essay tests, and 32 presentations.

…we had overnight guests for about seven of those weeks…with the number of people ranging from just my Mom up to three people…with five more out of town guests staying at a hotel at one point.

…we had a darling baby, changing about 12 diapers a day for the last two months, surviving the sleep deprivation that comes with the territory.

…Ben started a new job, as a named partner in the newly formed Hilger and Hammond PC. He has been pulling 12-13 hour days to get everything set up correctly…

…I helped host a baby shower for my sister, Renae for 18 friends and family where only myself and one other person was actually from Grand Rapids…

…I broke up more than 100 arguments between Parker and Madi, usually starting with Parker taking one of her toys and then Madi telling on him…

…and amidst all of this change, we have recieved countless blessings…weeks of groceries purchased by my parents, meals provided by dear friends, showers of gifts for Fiona and the big kids to make them feel special, special time with Madi and Parker running errands, playing games, and spendingd time at the Farm, and many prayers offered up on our behalf.

I am eternally grateful, and while I still get told on a regular basis how tired I look…I can’t imagine how I would be surviving otherwise.

Thanks…my cup runneth over….
