I have about seven blog entries started, but not finished…so I decided to do a quick kid update instead, because I know I can finish it…
Madi: Last night, my sister Kristin was putting the kids to bed, and she asked Madi. “where is Parker’s b-e-a-r?” Madi held up her bear and said, “mine is right here!” Yes, we can’t spell things out anymore…so now we have to come up with some new tactic. I am experimenting with spelling things backwards, using pig latin, and learning a foreign language…any ideas?
Parker: His new obsession is his orange and brown swimsuit. He has to know where it is at all times..”Where’s MY swimsuit, Mommy?” “In your dresser, Dubs?” “Where’s MY swimsuit, Mommy?” “Still in your dresser, Dubs”. We also have to be creative with the swimming diapers, because size large are getting pretty tight…I tell him to “wiggle around ” to loosen it up…which is really funny to watch!
Fiona: She has been sleeping from 9:30/10:00 unti 6:00/7:00 for about a week and a half. The surprising thing is that I don’t feel caught up on my sleep yet. Maybe because I haven’t been going to sleep very early because I know she will sleep all night. We have also been comparing her weekly pictures with Madi’s pictures when she was the same age…and they look like twins! So,I keep thinking..:will they look exactly alike when they get older too? We’ll see, I guess!
That’s the news from the Hammond house, where the kids are noisy and the parents are tired, and the laundry is never done…

We just told our daughter yesterday that she is not allowed to take German. Because Daddy and I speak our HS German when we don’t want them to know what we’re talking about!
