There is a moment, after the adrenalin of childbirth wears off…after the visitors bearing brightly wrapped gifts peter out…after the sleepers have started to get spit-stained, when all the days start to look the same. It doesn’t last forever, but when you are in the thick of it, it seems a little like…this…[baby starts crying]
[She walks back, picks up her baby from the Pack & Play, and sits down in the glider. The scene starts idyllic and calm, a woman rocking her baby, but then it kicks into fast forward. As she says the words, she does the actions, faster and faster.]

Sunrise.
Diaper.
Eat.
Burp.
Spit.
Doze.
Diaper.
Eat…both of you.
