Great suggestions above 🙂 I’m with you though. No matter how much you like your Dr. and how long you’ve been with them it’s still somehow not right laying there helpless and uncomfortable while some one is checking out your vagina while making small talk. My thoughts “plzzzzz skip the pleasantries and just get’er done”
The last time I went I got a horrible case of the awkward giggles. To the point where the doctor said, “I’ve had laughers before, but you’re something else!”
AWKWARD.
Love the post. Darker would make it so much better!!!

Oh no! I have never had that happen…sounds like thankfully?

I know this late in response, but last appointment I had two doctors in there because one was supervising and it actually hurt! I think that they try to make as professional as possible. Music, darkness, towels might seem kind of creepy! Towels would feel better than scratchy tissue paper though!!!!

Good point…depending on the doctor, the extra comfort items would seem strange and awkward. BUT…maybe they just need to try it 🙂
And you should get a complimentary bikini wax too while they’re down there.
I agree with Maggie…and if they could throw a bit of wax on my eyebrows I’d be grateful. The music and low lights would be a great touch.

I couldn’t agree more! SO awkward!! I would love a calmer environment for those kinds of check ups!
They could also include complimentary iPads for the kids and mini-fridges in each examination room!
