There’s this lovely little feature on Twitter where you can “retweet” an interesting link or idea from someone else. It takes your tweets from just a recitation of the mundane to an explosion of information from all sorts of different sources.
Well, today I’m taking the retweet into the blogosphere, because I want to “reblog” (or “RB” in twitterspeak) a great idea from the Gurk family to prepare your family for Thanksgiving.
They created a paper chain for the days leading up to Thanksgiving and wrote something they are thankful for on each link. Then, each day, they will take off a link and pray for what was written on the link.
I think it is such a great idea…my kids adore paper chains, and this gives them something specific to pray about too instead of the standard food, family, and fun times prayers.
Thanks Gurk family!

I’m so glad you can use the idea too! After we take off the link, I use them as turkey feathers. I made a sorry excuse for a turkey,:)and then added the links for it’s feathers. Then we can be reminded of all the past things we said we were thankful for throughout the month.
