A few weeks ago, I told Madi a story about how she could set up a lemonade stand at our annual garage sale at her friend Hannah’s house. Well, she did NOT forget about it, and being that the garage sale is tomorrow, she wanted to do a test run today. So, after her “rest time” (she was too excited about her lemonade stand), we set up her little picnic table in the front yard with her lemonade, a stack of Dixie cups, a cup for her earnings, and her hand-colored sign with “Lemonade – 5 Cents” on it.
For the first half hour, we swapped back and forth being the “customer”, because there was absolutely NO ONE on our street. She didn’t seem to care, skipping around the yard singing about her “ice cold lemonade”. It was hilarious. Amazingly, she did have three customers…two of our neighbors and Daddy and made $1.50. So, tomorrow we will break out the lemonade again to sell during the garage sale. Hopefully, she will have a few more customers!
As for my entrepreneurial spirit, I’m hoping to make a few dollars tomorrow. Ben doesn’t want anything to come back home, so we are priced to SELL! It is amazing what you can find sitting around your house…and what people will buy!
How did the lemonade stand go? I remember setting up the card table in front of our house and selling Kool-Aid to the neighbors. Fun times!
