[Lights come up on woman standing barefoot, wearing faded yoga pants and a baggy t-shirt, hair in ponytail. In the background sits a glider and a pack & play with a diaper changing station, fully stocked with diapers.]

Me

There is a moment, after the adrenalin of childbirth wears off…after the visitors bearing brightly wrapped gifts peter out…after the sleepers have started to get spit-stained, when all the days start to look the same. It doesn’t last forever, but when you are in the thick of it, it seems a little like…this…[baby starts crying]

[She walks back, picks up her baby from the Pack & Play, and sits down in the glider. The scene starts idyllic and calm, a woman rocking her baby, but then it kicks into fast forward. As she says the words, she does the actions, faster and faster.]
