This week has been quite the annoying week for me. Let’s review…
- I have been really tired out from vacation and from watching the Olympics so much, which is annoying because I have tons to do to get ready for school.
- I realize that I misplaced Ben’s sunglasses, which was really annoying.
- I find out that my wrist is injured, probably from boogie boarding in South Haven. I am now wearing a wrist brace and trying not to use it, which is also really annoying.
- The kids both came down with a cold, which means Ben and I will probably get it too, which is annoying for me, but extra annoying for Ben, because he has been sick so much lately.
Then, I proceed to crash into a construction barrel at about 11:30 p.m. Friday night, which is extremely annoying. I was on my way home from scrapbooking, listening to NPR, when I hit road construction. I see a merge sign, so I move into the center lane, but all of a sudden, I am driving directly towards a barrel. Obviously, I didn’t realize that it was merging down to one lane so quickly. Whoops. I swerve to the left (thankfully no one had snuck up next to me) but I smack the barrel nonetheless. I thought for sure that I had a flat tire, but I made it home, and the tire survived. The bottom of the car was scraped up and the barrel made long rubber marks down the side of the van, but they wiped off. Still…we have had it for three months, so anything happening is annoying.
The next day we drove by the spot, and the barrel was definitely crunched and knocked off of the base. I am thankful that nothing really bad happened, but I was so frustrated at myself. I can be such a ditz; I don’t know how Ben puts up with me sometimes!
